Northwest Neighbors encourages consumers to support local Portland retailers when choosing products for building, remodeling, or home improvement.
The businesses in the program were handpicked based on their reputations for quality, service, and business longevity. To be involved in the program, participating companies must be local Portland home improvement retailers headquartered in Oregon that have been in business a minimum of 20 years. Each participating business offers a downloadable coupon for their products and services in appreciation of local shoppers.
The idea of Northwest Neighbors was developed by Parr Lumber to raise community awareness about the importance of supporting local businesses. While big warehouse stores offer huge inventories, the service and expertise found at local home improvement retailers is unbeatable.
